The Urban Design Competition was launched by the Regional Municipality of Madinah region with the aim of developing the architectural identity of one of the neighborhoods in line with the heritage and identity of Madinah, which is the Al-Asifrin neighborhood, southwest of the Prophet’s Mosque and located near the main landmarks in the city. My Participation has won the 4th place in the Individuals and Groups category.
My proposal was based on giving great importance to pedestrians by providing a lively, attractive and safe environment to raise the quality of life. This is was achieved by limiting the movement of vehicles traffic, restricting them only to limited places, and relying on shaded underground car parking below public spaces and buildings. along with bringing in nature elements, such as palm trees, water channels, and shades, which benefit pedestrians and allow them to enjoy the open spaces. The proposal consists of three main attraction elements: the historic well, the Al-Manaratain Mosque, and newly introduced group of multiple use buildings with a unique character that mimics the skyline of the Madinah mountains summits.

مسابقة التصميم العمرانية التي اطلقتها أمانة منطقة المدينة المنورة بهدف تطوير الهوية المعمارية لأحد الأحياء بما يتماشى مع تراث وهوية المدينة المنورة وهو حي الأصيفرين جنوب غرب المسجد النبوي ويقع بالقرب من المعالم الرئيسية في المدينة. وقد حصلت مشاركتي على المركز الرابع من فئة الأفراد والمجموعات.
اعتمد اقتراحي التصميمي على اعطاء اهمية قصوى للانسان بتوفير بيئة حيوية و جذابة و آمنة لرفع جودة الحياة. يتم ذلك بالحد من حركة الآلات و السيارات و قصرها فقط في اماكن محدودة و الاعتماد على مواقف السيارات المظللة اسفل الساحات و المباني. و تم الاعتماد على جلب عناصر الطبيعة مثلا اشجار النخيل و قنوات المياه و الظلال التي يستفيد منها المشاة و تتيح لهم الاستمتاع بالساحات المفتوحة. يتكون المقترح من ثلاث عناصر جذب رئيسية هي البئر التاريخي و مسجد المنارتين و استحداث مجموعة مباني للاستخدامات المتعددة ذات طابع متفرد يحاكي خطوط قمم جبال المدينة المنورة.
